Add LocalWise to your iPhone
This takes about thirty seconds. When it is done, LocalWise has its own icon on your home screen, opens full screen with no address bar in the way, and keeps you signed in.
- 1
Open LocalWise in Safari
Go to leads.localwiseagency.com in Safari, the blue compass icon that came with your phone.
It has to be Safari. If you tapped a link inside WhatsApp, Facebook or your email app, you are in that app's own little browser, and the button in the next step will not be there. There is a fix for that further down.
- 2
Tap the three dots
They are in the bottom right corner, just to the right of the web address.
If your iPhone has no three dots there, it is on an older version of iOS, and the Share button sits in that bar instead. Tap that and carry straight on to step 4. On an iPad it is in the top right corner.
- 3
Tap Share
A little menu pops up. Share is the first thing on it.
Apple moved Share in here fairly recently. If you have followed instructions like these before and are wondering where it went, that is why.
- 4
Choose Add to Home Screen
A panel slides up from the bottom. Scroll the list down, past Copy, Add Bookmark and Add to Favourites.
Tap Add to Home Screen.
- 5
Tap Add
The name is already filled in as LocalWise. Leave it as it is.
Tap Add in the top right corner.
- 6
Open it from your home screen
The icon is on your home screen now, in the first free space it could find. You may need to swipe across a page to see it.
Tap it, sign in once with the email address and password we sent you, and it will keep you signed in from then on.
If you cannot see Add to Home Screen
- You are in another app's browser. This is much the most common reason. Look for the ··· or the compass icon in the corner and choose Open in Safari, then start again at step 2.
- You are in a Private tab. Safari hides Add to Home Screen in private browsing. Open the three-dot menu, tap All Tabs, switch to a normal tab, and open the address again.
- You have not scrolled far enough. The list in that panel is longer than it looks. Add to Home Screen sits a good way down it.
Worth knowing
- This is not an App Store download. It takes up almost no space on your phone, and it updates itself, so you are always on the newest version.
- You only sign in once. After that the icon takes you straight to your leads.
- To remove it, hold your finger on the icon and choose Remove App, the same as any other app.
